Around the world on the couch

Today is wasted in productivity sense. I decided to read "Around the
world in 80 days" by Jules Verne. The book was so tense that I could
not put down. I just keep reading it until the last page, even when my
Palm give sign that it run out of power, I decided to finish it on my
desktop. The Character Phileas Fogg was so belieavable, unlike the
movie I saw (starring Jacky Chan as Passepartout???). I can see that
the movie was falling short compared to the novel. Although the movie
is quite good, the book is superb, and the character Aouda simply beats
Michelle La Roche all the way (although I think Aouda is a little bit
too good to be true, Michelle is more believable). The only curiosity
is how Phileas Fogg earn his money? From the novel I think he's not
born on a rich/famous family, his life is quite solitary, and from his
daily schedule he doesn't seem to work at all. Anyway, I think Monsieur
Verne is the greatest science fiction writer ever life in the world.
I'll read his other works. At the moment I'll prepare "From Earth to
Moon", but I'll read it someday (I'm affraid I'll be flat broke for not
working since I'm not Phileas Fogg).
