This carnival is one of the tradition in Semarang to mark the beginning of Ramadhan month (the fasting month of muslim people). It began a week before 'puasa', by dug der festival / market, and closed with this carnival. Believe it or not, even tough I'm native to Semarang, this is the first time I see the carnival. I saw this by chance because I'm stranded in BCA in Jalan Pemuda which is the main route of the carnival. Luckily I brought my trusty digicam, and managed to snap some pictures. Enjoy....
