Finding Neverland
Last weekend we went to a movie, "Finding Neverland" From the title I'm quite sure it's a peterpand story. However I didn't expect it'll be a growing up story finding a man in a boy, and the author's view about eternal childhood in a man's dream. Despite the need to face real world, Neverland is exist in one's mind. Also interesting is the view about a grown man playing with children, suspiciously commited adultery with the children's mom. Although it's repeatedly stated in the movie that he's just a family's friend I wonder what'll happen in real world if such situation happen.

My Dream ~ a tv show
17 April 2006
There's a great show on Metro TV tonight. Titled My Dreams. It's an art show by disabled persons. My aunt called and specifically told me to turn on the channel. I watched the show and it's a great one. It was opened by Dewi Yull's singing, and continued dance performance by hearing impaired person, depicting avalokitesvara's 1000 arms. Afterwards another dance performace by a person without arms. But the one moved me maybe the performance by 7 musician, they performed Do Re Mi, from the sound of music, the interesting part is when they play the tone Do, Re, Mi, Fa, So, La, Ti, using each of the instruments. Their next song also quite interesting, they picked "Ayo Mama" (a traditional song from Ambon). It was really beautiful.
In these all disability, these people can move a lot of people, that a disabled person doesn't necessarily be a disabled citizen. During the credit list also shown the casts activity during their stay in Indonesia. I think the TV show was done very cleverly, kudos to the Metro TV's Team
Oh, for the record they're from China and came here sponsored here by Buddha Tzu Chi and Agung Sedayu Group, the perfomance was held in JITEC.

14 April 2006 A trip around
Today me, Ike, Indira, Willy, Andi, Edward, Dewi and Evelyn (friend of edward) went on a travelling spree (well, especially me, Ike, Indira, Willy and Andi). I went to Ike's houseat 6.50, since noone is available to take me there, I decided to take the public transport. Whew, it's quite a long time last time I took public transport, but everything went well. Nothing important happened this morning.
We departed at 7.30 in the morning. Originally we want to visit Getsemane Garden in Ungaran. We missed it, and decide to eat breakfast in Soto Keri. After breakfast we went to Banaran, a coffee plantation between Ungaran and Salatiga and have a cup of coffee. Initially we wished to go around the plantation (using a golf cart) after coffee. However waiting the cart is like waiting for Godot. It's never arrive. Therefore we decide to continue our Journey.
Our next stop is Gedono, near Salatiga. It's a monastery, selling a delicious Yoghurt. We bought some youghurt and visit the church (catholic) there. Today is the Good Friday. Unfortunately we missed the mass, so I made my personal prayer and took some pictures there.
Our original plan is to visit Kopeng and Ketep. However it seems that our friends still haven't finished their business, we decided to pass Kopeng and went to Ketep pass instead. The journey was quite fun, but uneventfull. I decided to do something (howl with the window open) It was around noon, however since we have our breakfast quite late, we are not hungry. The weather is cloudy, so there's not much to see in Ketep pass, since their main and only attraction is watching 5 mountain peaks around it. It supposed to be beautiful, I managed to took some picture though, but no peaks. Maybe I should visit it again sometimes in the future.
Indira decide to have lunch in Magelang, since the food in Ketep is mediocre. We had our lunch in a restaurant in Magelang, it's quite delicious, I should checked the name again with Indira, since she's the one proposed this place. Dewi & co. joined us a while later, and we continued our stop in Kyai Langgeng. We decide to go down to sit and enjoy the view for a while until someone proposed to continue our trip to Yogya <phew>. On the way back to our car, suddenly rains pour down heavily from the sky. We took shelter in a gazebo in Puri Asri hotel. Our chances to reach our car seem so bleak, when suddenly a shuttle car (I believe belonged to the hotel) appear. Dewi quickly shouted to call the driver. The rain still pour down heavily, and one by one we enter the car, but since it got no wall, inside the car is soaked with rain water. Unfortunately I didn't take any of these events. We continue our trip using the shuttle car to parking area. Unfortunatelly the driver only able to take us to the market, there's still a couple metres to our cars. Edward and Willy decided to go and took some umbrelas from our cars. They're soaked wet, so I lend Edward my shirt, and Willy decided to buy a pair of Sandals.
Our last stop is Yogya, we went to a new mall there, Ambarukmo Plaza, I bought Voltus DVD there. Afterwards it was dinner time, We had our dinner Gudeg (a famous local cuisine) in front of a Chinese Temple in Jl. Brigjen Katamso No. 3. After our stomachs full Dewi & Co. want to continue to Saphir Square, we follow them. There's not much to see, and we're tired anyway, later we decide to have some Ice Cream in Oh La La... Cafe. Mine was Chocolate Brownies, and it's soooo sweet. We're very tired and going home at 21.00.

Einstein
Yesterday I bought Reader's Digest. A quote by Albert Einstein catches my attention. he said like this (well, more or less since I re-translate this from Indonesian):
"Madness: doing same things over and over expecting different result."
This makes me stop and think, this is oh soooo true. I should do something different to improve my biz, and myself. I cannot stop at this point, and gotta move on. The last few weeks feel so awkward and pathetic, tomorrow I'll do the Dream book thing and start over. Wish Me Luck.

Another blog
Finally I make a blog..... again. Previously I have to design the website from scratch. Imagine how easy it is now to just create the content, no need to think about the design, just follow the template, and voila..... instant web log. Anyway, I'll try to post comments, tips, anything fascinate me to share with publics.

Around the world on the couch
world in 80 days" by Jules Verne. The book was so tense that I could
not put down. I just keep reading it until the last page, even when my
Palm give sign that it run out of power, I decided to finish it on my
desktop. The Character Phileas Fogg was so belieavable, unlike the
movie I saw (starring Jacky Chan as Passepartout???). I can see that
the movie was falling short compared to the novel. Although the movie
is quite good, the book is superb, and the character Aouda simply beats
Michelle La Roche all the way (although I think Aouda is a little bit
too good to be true, Michelle is more believable). The only curiosity
is how Phileas Fogg earn his money? From the novel I think he's not
born on a rich/famous family, his life is quite solitary, and from his
daily schedule he doesn't seem to work at all. Anyway, I think Monsieur
Verne is the greatest science fiction writer ever life in the world.
I'll read his other works. At the moment I'll prepare "From Earth to
Moon", but I'll read it someday (I'm affraid I'll be flat broke for not
working since I'm not Phileas Fogg).
GMail
cannot be retrieved thru POP3 service. In process, I also found out
that some people built utilities to make use GMail's huge 1 GB space.
Unfortunately the GMailFS utility is not ported to Mac OS X platform
just yet.

Today's prediciton
"You may feel a sense of renewed courage when reaching for your dreams
today, Danu. In fact, you may experience the urge to set even higher
goals for yourself. The stumbling blocks that stand between you and the
target will look much smaller from today's perspective. Your sense of
determination and drive will take you a long way toward reaching
exactly what you want. Go ahead and reach for that brass ring!"
Boy, I think it's correct in some ways, especially after doing a lot of
talking with my father yesterday. At least now I know his fear, what he
think about what I'm doing now, etc. On the downside, I haven't really
got any prove that I've made something, and it seems that today I got
what's called writer's block, maybe because my nose is also blocked
last night (sigh, bad weather). Anyway, I think I'll stick to my
current plan, and seek more people to give more insight in this
business.

Another musing
tell me my great-grandfather philosophy about cheap and expensive: "No
matter how cheap is the price, if you don't have money to spend on it,
it's expensive. On the contrast, no matter how expensive it is, if you
can buy that thing in ten, with no impact to your financial situation,
then it's cheap".
